Partakes in the annual performance review process for direct staff, which ranges from between 5 to 10 staff seasonally. Creates plans for improvement and skills that can be worked on over the course of the coming year. Specifically oversees the Ski, Paddling, and Accessories departments. This involves checking in with department staff on keeping the sections stocked, merchandised well, and helping out with more advanced questions on product. Gained proficiency in handling a Point Of Sale in all aspects along with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

The Retail Specialist position oversees the day to day merchandising and product knowledge in a particular section of the Outdoor Gear Exchange. This person is the go to staff member for hard questions about certain products. The specialist needs to maintain in depth knowledge of new and up and coming product to help with buying decisions for the coming seasons. Along with this, you are responsible for helping with section layouts and assembling racks as needed to promote sales growth.
