Promoted to oversee all inventory control functions for this $76B manufacturing and direct import company with 16 warehouses in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Netherlands, Spain, and China. Control more than $10M in product shipping from China and other Asian countries to points throughout the world. Initially placed orders, processed purchase orders, cleaned inventory inputs, and managed all receipts. Currently facilitate sales, inventory control, purchasing, direct import (DI) of finished goods, ERP management, weekly warehouse reconciliations, and more, at the global level. Work closely with department, product, sales, and operations teams on purchasing, product development, and sales promotions. Identify, approve, and manage suppliers. Negotiate pricing. Resolve issues. Coordinate with 3PLs on cycle counts and monthly reconciliations. Conduct internal reviews of inventory and prepare adjustments and reports. Hire, train, and supervise multi-site, multi-functional teams ranging from 50 to 200 specialists. Supported CFO during internal and external audits.
Accomplishments: • Identified and eliminated $350,000 in duplicate inventory by auditing the Brazil local warehouse. • Located and resolved more than $600,000 in inventory discrepancies by reconciling inventory in the Brazilian (bonded), Chinese (bonded), Mexican, and Amazon warehouses. • Improved efficiency and decision-making by designing a weekly report that consolidated data from the ERP and all 3PL warehouse reports into a single document for the COO and management team. • Wrote and updated all Purchasing department SOPs and created an SOP handbook. • Collaborated all warehouses to resolve legacy receiving, picking, and reporting errors. • Worked with Quetico warehouse IT team to automate inventory, shipment, and status reports in SAP DWM (DaVinci). • Played a major role in increasing fulfillment rates from 70% to 95% by improving inventory accuracy and by training sales teams on lead times, production restrictions, and manufacturing location considerations. • Trained customer order teams on inventory processes, returns, and ERP system operations. • Partnered with a logistics company to arrange all rail and road transportation for local shipments.
