In My Own Words
Jenna Nabors is a strategic communicator and junior account manager at Verde Brand Communications, where she combines her passion for public relations with her love for the outdoors.
She completed her master's degree in mass communication at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a 4.0 GPA in July 2022.
Jenna has a deep-rooted passion in justice, diversity, equity and inclusion and interned for NC State University's Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity as a writing and communications intern for two years.
She graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2021 with a B.A. in communication and minors in journalism and international studies. While at NC State, she was a Park Scholar (full-merit scholarship program), in the University Scholars program and volunteered as a university ambassador.

Junior Account Manager
Verde Brand Communications2023 – Present
In this role, I help to manage outdoor industry client accounts and act as a main point of contact for our clients. My tasks include media coverage tracking, pitching, seeding product samples, writing and distributing press releases, attending media showrooms on behalf of our brands and more.
Graduate Assistant
ASU Graduate College2021 – 2022
In this role, I wrote articles for the Graduate College’s online blog, “The Graduate Insider," on student stories, graduate events and graduate resources; scheduled posts to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram via Hootsuite; and edited all articles to be published by the Graduate College on its blog and on ASU News, an ASU multimedia news website.
Communications Intern

Greenbrier is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Messina Group and works as a full-service consulting firm specializing in crisis management, corporate communications, and public affairs. The responsibilities of this internship included: media monitoring, list building, client research across a broad range of industries and subjects, content creation including blog posts, website content and social media posts, and building and updating databases.

The writing intern at the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity at NC State is responsible for writing, editing and promoting diversity/inclusion-based material for OIED's newsletter, the Diversity Digest, as well as managing OIED's Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. The Spectrum News 1 newsroom internship is a learning-intensive program designed to give students hands-on experience. In this role, interns shadow reporters and producers; write, interview and assist in the production of news stories; and work with reporters and anchors to determine story form and content and assemble newscasts.
