Bearings Skateboard Academy is an indoor skateboard park with a coaching staff and retail store that provides private skateboard instruction, group programs, and skateboard camps. As the Director, my responsibilities were to manage operations, day-to-day customer interaction, develop pricing strategies, create programming, maintain web presence, make all software decisions to increase efficiencies and profitability, secure sponsorships, manage all marketing efforts, coordinate annual skate contests and demos, forecasting, bookkeeping, buying, managing employee schedules, and payroll.

My duties included the purchasing of all inventory including hardgoods, softgoods, and accessories. I established and maintained relationships with a wide variety of vendors, attended tradeshows, and ensured we were ahead of major trends in the skateboard industry. I helped develop in-house product lines with overseas and domestic manufacturers. I oversaw Open to Buy planning, purchase orders, logistics, and delivery timelines. Through regular sales analysis I maintained inventory and shifted budget accordingly. Additionally, I managed day-to-day operations, developed efficient processes, managed inventory, and the team.

Additionally, I led the customer service team, assisted the photo department with new product updates and created unique web content.
