As a Marine Corps Recruiter I was responsible for Prospecting, screening, and selling the Marine Corps to possible applicants. Prospecting was conducted via cold calls, area canvassing, and local enhanced canvassing events held at local high schools. Electronic canvassing was utilized as well to create interest. Once the interest was created, presentations were conducted in home and office environments. During these presentations, consultative selling skills were used to create a deeper interest and desire to become a United States Marine. Buy in would be the applicant and parents willing to sign processing paper work for enlistment.

Also responsible for leading and mentoring, and preparing the applicants for the rigors of recruit training and the Marine Corps lifestyle. While serving in this job I have had the honor of recruiting 75 young Americans and they have been able to become United States Marines.

While working in Operations I managed approximately 400 Future Marines preparing to depart for recruit training.

Assisted the Operations Chief and was prepared to perform duties in his absence. Executed duties as Battalion Combat Operations Center Watch Chief, Coordinating fire support, Medical Evacuation support and ensuring the work flow of all war fighting functions are integrated to support subordinate units on the battlefield. Supervised significant event reporting to higher headquarters including the quality control of storyboards, situation reports, and other information requirements. Counsel Marines of the Operations section on their performance and ensure they complete appropriate Professional Military Education. Assisted the Assistant Operations Officer in the planning, execution and documentation of all battalion training evolutions. Monitored annual Battalion Combat Fitness Tests and Physical Fitness Tests in order to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with published orders. Served as the Battalion Assistant Operations Chief during combat operations, a billet designated for a Master Sergeant (2 ranks higher). Developed and implemented standard operating procedures for a highly effective combat operations center while forward deployed to Sangin, Afghanistan in support of OEF 10.2. Served as Battalion Watch Chief and Watch Officer in a Combat Operations Center that processed over 1700 significant events in a highly kinetic area of operation in support of OEF 10.2. Conducted morning operations briefs to the Battalion Executive Officer and Battalion Staff. Supervised the establishment of the Operations Section workspace upon return to the United States.

Conducted proper fit sessions, ensuring the athlete was getting the best power and speed out of their bicycle. Advised clients on proper wetsuit fit. Established a network from the local cycling community to announce the opening of our locations and market our store.
