Based in Carlsbad, CA, Guy Takayama Surfboards designs and produces high performance longboards and fun boards using advanced materials, progressive shapes, and proprietary constructions to deliver the highest performance longboards and fun shapes available. Use of Carbon Fiber, XEON pigmented fiberglass, proprietary stringer systems for flex and twist, 100% hand layups, and aggressive designs allow us to create boards that are super strong, light, and responsive. These boards will totally outperform traditional Poly boards (stronger, lighter, more responsive), and traditional epoxy boards (forget it - ours are in a different league altogether), or other composition boards with complicated constructions that behave unpredictably in the water. Our designs are truly transformative, and will elevate the performance levels of intermediate and advanced surfers. Guy has adapted the shapes of his traditional handmade custom PU boards to take full advantage of all the benefits of EPS and advanced materials. These boards simply Go Beyond!
