Public Relations Intern · Stand Up For Kids - Orange County
Interned for local chapter passionate about ending the cycle of homeless youth. Internship included responsible of posting daily on social media accounts, which later resulted in gaining up to 20% increase in followers on Instagram. The internship also included attending meetings twice per week to gain content for social media channels and interview kids that the non-profit benefitted. Interviews were used to write feature articles later posted on Stand Up For Kids national website and the organization’s newsletter.
The #GivingTuesday social media campaign from October 2016 to December 2016 intensely focused on fundraising for the nonprofit and using the seasonal opportunity to raise awareness of the organization. The end result of the campaign surpassed our goal of $5,000.
