• Responsible for design and development of half the original products in each launch • Led meetings and assigned tasks to Engineering partners during development phase • Worked closely with artists to create custom work exclusive to Schoolhouse • Adapted to ever fluctuating processes and structures while meeting or exceeding high expectations as the company continued to grow and change • Held leadership accountable for staying consistent with company values and goals while they chased higher profit margins

Associate Product Developer

2019 – 2019

• Designed and developed top performing products in their respective categories including pillows, table lamps, and pendants • Redesigned existing light fixtures to meet UL standards that increased user safety and expanded Trade customer sales • Used SolidWorks to create detailed CAD models and production-ready drawings • Exercised multi-tasking skills while working on various stages of up to five seasons of products at a time within tight deadlines • Visited local manufacturers to evaluate the facilities in order to better design for their specific capabilities • Negotiated with vendors and manufacturers on pricing, services, and timelines

• Communicated directly with local and international manufacturers regarding sample making, materials procurement, material quality, reverse cost engineering, and production quality control • Synthesized feedback and team input into tangible design edits • Connected with cross-functional teams on a daily basis to streamline collaboration • Wrote and formatted product assembly and installation instructions to be both visually appealing and most effective for the customer

• Created sketches, mockups, models, illustrations, renderings, and prototypes • Supervised the First Article process to approve new components upon arrival and problem solved with vendors when new components did not pass inspection • Established the R+D packet to document product creation increasing the research phase to gain more accurate data, valuable insights, and justify design decisions • Re-organized and updated The Lab to include a functional material and component library that made brainstorming and model making more accessible in the space
