Senior Apparel Designer
DPI2018 – Present
Men's and Women's Senior Apparel Designer for the video gaming studio Bethesda; wearer of many hats in a small start-up atmosphere. I fulfill the role of Technical Designer, Soft Goods Designer, Product Designer, and certain duties of a Production Coordinator and Artist. Apparel is NOT for in game characters, but for the fans and customers themselves. Inspiration comes from specific games or the studio brand itself and ranges from ready to wear to costume. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining all custom apparel. Skills include but not limited to game research, trend research (which includes bodies, fabrics, trims, & colors), color matching, mood boarding, CAD developing, print/pattern developing, creating/maintaining design presentations, creating/editing art files, creating/editing tech-packs (which includes color CADs, line drawings, dims & callouts, BOMs, Proto Specs, & Graded Specs), commenting on proto types, commenting on strike offs, commenting on lab dips, managing fittings, costing (FOB & LDP), sourcing, maintaining communication with factories (overseas and domestic), product design, soft good design, art file color separation for production, attending and working conventions, and more.

Studios include but not limited to Bioware, Bethesda, PlayStation, and more. Added experience taking on the role as an Assistant Technical Designer, Graphic Designer, and in Product Development. I worked directly with the Head Designer and the owner of the Co. to design specific lines. Other responsibilities included color story building, trend shopping, specking fit samples, spec creating/editing, database management, creating/editing tech packs, maintaining sales quantities and cost sheets, graphic designing, commenting on lap dips, and communicating with overseas factories.
Assistant Product Development Coordinator

As a part of the Development team, I helped to create costing and production technical packages. This included preliminary Illustrator work with flats. I also managed the color inventories and created color cards, which included ordering from Pantone, Color Solutions, Scotdic, and HuePoint. Lastly, I also managed some communications between our Shanghai office, as well as kept track of the packages.
