I'm a global business leader with a career built around elevating brands and driving category, account and revenue growth on behalf of industry-leading sport, outdoor & lifestyle brands and startups. I combine analysis, creativity and a deep knowledge of product marketing, merchandising and commercial strategy to find the right solutions for clients and bring incredible executions to life.

A lifelong skateboarder who launched and led a snowboarding retail store at age 18, I bring authoritative knowledge of youth culture to my work and excel in delivering consumer-first products, assortments and strategies.

Returned to my roots and re-entered the outdoor industry as Director of Softgoods & Accessories at Elevate Outdoor Collective. EOC is the holding company for world-class brands like K2, Ride, Line Skis, Volkl, Marker, Dalbello, and BCA. As Product Director, I led the end-to-end product management of a multi-brand, multi-category product offering. Products include Après Ski Footwear, Technical Outerwear, Fleece, Tees, Beanies, Caps, Packs & Bags. - Created Global Multi-brand product roadmap including segmentation, pricing, margin & channel - Set Global Commercial Targets by Category, Channel and Region - Created end-to-end product creation and merchandising calendar for all soft goods and accessory categories - Drove Cross-Functional teams to ensure all aspects of apparel & accessories GTM needs were on time and complete - Led Digital Merchandising Strategy, assortment planning & pricing for multiple brands within the portfolio - Sourced and managed all Softgoods, packs & bags, and footwear vendors for improved product quality and margin - 2x .com Growth YoY two years in a row - Improved Après Footwear Margin by 15% - Improved Average Softgoods margin by 20%

Founded a marketing / product strategy consultancy in 2005 after leaving Puma. Invested two years working with various clients, with a primary focus on footwear, athletic gear and lifestyle clothing / accessories brands. Upon returning to Portland from Amsterdam in 2017, reignited the consultancy to serve new clients.

Apparel Merchandising Director

Converse

2014 – 2017

Relocated with family to The Netherlands then recruited by Converse to lead the €100M EMEA Apparel & Accessories Merchandising function for both owned and partner markets. Served as a bridge between the global product marketing engine and regional sales teams, managing the efficiency and profitability of seasonal apparel and accessories collections. Managed and motivated a team of two direct and four indirect reports in setting seasonal merchandising strategy by gender, category and channel and guided the development of a regional GTM strategy and calendar. Created seasonal sell-in tools and led the bi-annual development of a Marketplace Capacity & Insights (MC&I) presentation for global product creation, ensuring global alignment and that consumer needs were met. ->Doubled apparel sales with Converse’s largest customer in Western Europe, and grew an acquired bag business by 30% in one season. Achieved by designing and positively guiding regional product creation processes and skillfully implementing seasonal strategies across territories and strategic accounts. ->Drove efficiency and alignment of the go-to-market process by co-creating (with cross-functional stakeholders) a new end-to-end calendar and operating model for Converse WE.

Merchandising Director

The Clymb

2012 – 2014

Joined The Clymb – an online retailer that offers discounted pricing on outdoor gear – in its early startup phase. As the company’s first Merchandise Director led day-to-day visual merchandising of The Clymb’s website and partnered with the buying team to create daily events to drive traffic. ->Created and launched Clymb 365, a shopping experience giving consumers access to brands’ entire inventory around the clock. This new offering delivered 30% of the company’s daily sales for FY13. ->Developed a cross-departmental process and workflow to align product and marketing strategies and pushed for major changes in site management that had a positive impact on the new business.

Footwear Product & Merchandising Director

Li Ning

2008 – 2010

Recruited to help expand the Li Ning footwear business in the U.S. and globally while driving merchandising efficiencies. Directed a North American wholesale launch and improved brand impact across retail channels by creating new merchandising programs and directed assortments.

After several years dedicated to working as an independent consultant, returned to adidas as a GTM Category Manager for Originals FTW. Devised strategic business plans, including new metrics to improve sell in / sell thru, and analyzed sales, category and marketplace results to create impactful, channel-relevant assortments.
