Adjunct Professor - Transportation Design Communication · The University of Cincinnati - School of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning
Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati, DAAP teaching Transportation Design Communication to 3rd, 4th, and 5th year students. Coaching the students' understanding of the relationship between brand, function, and form. Honing the students' sketching, rendering, CAD modeling, spatial awareness, model making, and presentation skills. Emphasizing the critical connection between analog sketching and VR 3D modeling for the development of spatial awareness. Developing lesson plans utilizing various technologies and instructional methodologies. Directing the students' efforts to keep them on task, at their best, and striving for continuous improvement (kaizen). Past two semesters have been supplemental to studios sponsored by FCA and GM respectively.

Adept at visual storytelling; from storyboards to telegraphic, functional design. Brought several products to market from concept to production. Won the 2017 LPK Ping Pong tournament. Served as Key Designer on two teams that won top placing in international contests with Valtra and Michelin.

Built a bicycle for the company so they could commute between offices/promote their budding business.

Fortified rapid prototyping skills with various machines (Esko Kongsberg, FDM 3D Printers, SLA 3D Printer).

Co-op with New Product Development at Mead - Five Star under the ACCO Brands' umbrella for two non-consecutive semesters. Concept sketching and model making for Mead, Five Star, and Trapper line of products. Illustrated company patents. 3D modeling, Photoshop Rendering. Awarded a patent during my first semester of co-op for product I worked on from concept to production. Products I worked on are currently available on the market.
