In My Own Words

Hello, I'm a passionate motorcycle enthusiast with a professional career in design. My journey as a designer over the past 14+ years has taken me through many avenues and exposed me to a variety of industries. My work has supported online marketing campaigns for large media companies, new product launches for Fortune 100 companies like USAA and other niche organizations through print & advertising production. I am capable at managing the design process through every touch point, from requirements gathering through to production, ensuring consistency with the companies branding and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on overall strategy.

Work Experience

Graphic Designer (Freelance)

3:16 Trackdays

2020 – Present

In November of 2020 I began doing marketing work for my local motorcycle track day organization. I’ve designed ads and flyers to help market and grow their customer base. I have also participated in numerous track day events with this group at race tracks around Texas. (Circuit of the Americas, Harris Hills Raceway, MSRH, MSRC)

Product Designer (Full-time)

Comoto

2021 – Present

I currently have the awesome job of being part of the company that is a leader in retail for motorcycle riding gear and parts. My role as a product designer has me focused on the digital experiences for Comoto’s suite of brands (RevZilla, Cycle Gear, J&P Cycles and REVER). My teams mission is customer centric and focuses on understanding the problems before the solutions. We are advocates for the customer and work hard to solve their pain points with the digital shopping experience. I regularly collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams, conduct various forms of research, create wireframes, comps and prototypes and conduct user testing. My team is curious and likes to know how things work. We are always on the hunt for what new features we can bring to the customers shopping experience and how we can help grow the motorcycling community!

I also create wireframes, high fidelity comps and facilitate critique sessions.

Graphic Designer (Volunteer)

Motorsports Bootcamp

2021 – 2021

Motorsports Bootcamp is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide free sports vehicle operation training to active duty military. I worked with the owners of 2 local track day organizations (3:16 Trackdays & Edge Addicts) to come up with the branding for the organization, marketing plan, website creation and designed any marketing materials they needed for the event that takes place at Circuit of the Americas. The website I helped create for them is www.motorsportsbootcamp.com

My duties were to help open and close the retail store, help customers choose the right motorcycle safety gear for them, size customers and ensure proper fitment, maintain the visual presentation of the store, provide options for customers to make purchases in store and online, answer phone calls, and help answer customer questions through online chat platforms.

Creative Designer II

USAA

I also acted as a front-end developer and coded my page designs with HTML & CSS.

I utilized my graphic design skills to create web banners, ads, home page takeovers, event logos, custom web pages, games, email blasts, event posters, outdoor banners and fliers. Many projects were self managed and others involved collaboration with the digital design team. I worked closely with sales representatives, on-air talent as well as promotional personnel for most of my projects and campaign initiatives. While at Emmis I also had the opportunity to assist in many photo and video shoots.
