Schedule & Location: This position works a Hybrid Flexible schedule working three days at the Irvine location: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; and working remote Wednesdays and Fridays. Normal business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00pm Mon – Thurs and 8:00am – 3:00pm on Fridays.

Please note: The remote work privilege may be cancelled in the discretion of the company at any time with reasonable notice of not less than 15 days.

Position Summary:

Focused and detailed individual responsible for developing design concepts to producing accurate artwork files that will be delivered to our manufacturers on time. Ability to offer other cross-functional support as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Graphic Design:

· Works with PD Creative to implement original art into products and marketing programs for Blue Sky brands and licensed influencer partnerships

Must monitor entire life of each project from concept to completion
Must follow standardized formats, proper processes, and protocols on each type of project to ensure files are done promptly and accurately
Must understand PLM and how to access all the information needed to get their work done promptly and accurately
Create merchandising renderings and product images for account presentations
Develop POP and merchandising artwork
Provide product and marketing images for retailer and web programs
Ensure color is correct and designs are consistent across collections
Must properly package and upload files for sampling and color proofs
Must ensure file hygiene and file management
Must be an organized and process-oriented person, with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and technical skills

Production Design:

-Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator to populate calendar and planner templates with dating and other content

-Adapts templates into production ready artwork

-Creates final production files that are aesthetically consistent with the sample design prototypes

- Makes design decisions to ensure overall appearance is acceptable

- Ensures artwork collections are consistent in different sizes and formats

- Edits production files that come back from proofreaders

- Collects assets and uploads production files to FTP sites

- Finalizes packaging at time of purchase order

-Ability to take direction and follow sample detail check-lists to ensure accuracy of product samples and taking complete ownership of account sample order

-Proficiency with Adobe InDesign to print artwork and make text changes

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

· BA in art and design

· Expert in Adobe Applications with a strong emphasis in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator

· Strong design sense both conceptually and mechanically

· Experience in stationery products preferred

· Strong attention to detail and technical skills

· Must be able to use Microsoft office, Monday.com, and other software functionality

· A team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment

· Highly motivated, proactive, organized, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
