As a Department Manager, I was responsible for reading sales reports for my department and reacting by remerchandising a zone for optimal sales. I was also responsible for opening and closing the store, managing the workforce, and conducting walkthroughs during corporate visits. Every week I brought in the highest in sales, and built a lasting rapport with many of my employees and repeat customers. Not only did I handle the scheduling of the employees for the entire store on a weekly basis, but had the unfortunate task of administering disciplinary action when needed. I have learned more in the last 2 1/2 years at Urban Outfitters, than I ever did, in my 10 years of working experience before.

While at California Comfort Vans I was responsible for distributing parts throughout the warehouse, taking in shipment, and ordering new supplies. Periodically, we would be tasked with driving vans to the shipping company located in Compton, CA. In this role, I was the sole employee in a department that could have easily benefited by another, which required many hours of overtime.

As the shipping supervisor of Dealtree Inc., I was responsible for a workforce of up to 16 people. This included the hiring process of many of the employees for the department. I was also responsible for ordering supplies for the department, and troubleshooting lost items.
