I'm a versatile and creative Product Development & Design Manager with a strong background in Accessories & Tech Gear in both private label and with brand licenses. I have experience in all stages of Design, Development and Production. I excel in creating innovative and brand right products. I love traveling and exploring and am always on the lookout for something new to try. A few of my biggest passions are skatepark skating, roller derby, hiking, painting, sculpting, and games.

SKITS2015 – 2018
Manage the design, development, and sourcing of materials for all our Automotive products as well as our own Fashion & Tech brand items under SKITS. Track and manage BOM's. Provide feedback and comments for samples, provide final approvals for products. I also had to check production shipments for QC. Created mock-up product images & took photos for social media and marketing purposes as needed. Work closely with customers to make sure graphics and branding are approved and consistent with their brand vision. Communicate with vendors overseas to make sure products are right and fall in desired pricing and time frame. Traveled overseas at least twice a year to work with factories and vendors. Also managed and signed off on the look of product line sheets and packaging needs so they were in line with the Design vision. Managed items for brands like Nordstrom, Saks, Kit Ross, & Ferrari. Designed Belts, Handbags, and Small Leather Goods for a variety of Private Label customers. I worked on young trend and lifestyle driven brands from American Eagle Outfitters, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, as well as creating products for Department stores and other mall brands such as White House Black Market. I also worked on designing handbags, belts, cuffs, and buckles for Licensed Brands like Harley Davidson. I was in charge of the full development of each seasons presentation, starting from concept to first samples. I worked closely with overseas vendors to source the best materials within given price ranges and to make sure samples looked great and were here on time. I traveled overseas to work with vendors directly when necessary. I worked closely with sales and our customers to make sure all product fit the lifestyle and was on trend.

I was responsible for the design and development of both Men's and Women's hats, scarves, belts, handbags, gloves, socks, and footwear. I also created graphics and mocked up samples for merchant presentations. Regularly attended Merchant meetings and Fit Model appointments. I worked in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as maintained Web PDM for our products, creating sample request sheets and line lists.
Freelance Accessory Designer

I worked freelance on a project-by-project basis with handbag and accessory design companies creating product ranging from handbags & wallets to shoes. Clients ranged from high end private label brands to companies like MJ Carlyle and Triple Accessories with a fashion forward surf and skate juniors markets such as Hot Topic, Forever 21, Metropark, and Charlotte Russe.
I would review client notes and direction and create new brand right designs, line lists, and accurate tech packs. When necessary I created patterns and would sew the samples myself. I also designed graphics, logos, and technical CAD illustrations for embossings and screen printing.

Chambers Belt Company2007 – 2008
Updated and expanded the Men's and Young Men's product lines. Worked on the design and development of some products for the Junior Girls and Ladies brands as well. Assisted in the acquisition of a major branded license through putting together product and a presentation and traveling with Sales. Created product graphics and packaging, line sheets, tech packs, and trade show booth hand outs. Merchandised and updated the trade show booth to reflect the brand.

Created product lines for Men, Women, and Children's lines. I was in charge of designing product for two major client accounts. Worked with the designers and merchandisers of those accounts to provide them with the best possible trend right product each season. I developed many pieces of custom hardware for the company. Maintained communication overseas with manufacturers to meet target pricing and to acquire samples in the necessary turn around time for each project. I also assisted in the development belts & custom hardware and launch of their own brand 49 sq mi.

Designed belts, small leather goods, and custom hardware for private label brands as well as the company's own lines. Maintained showroom, answered phones, sourced materials and suppliers, maintained communication with overseas vendors, acquired samples in a timely manner, kept vendor material libraries and maintained past season product library.
