In My Own Words
My name is Liv Varney, I'm a freelance graphic designer residing in New Hampshire. I'm experienced in designing clothing with a demonstrated history of working in the apparel and fashion industry. I have experience designing corporate retail collateral (Puma) and printing / producing my own clothing items (Young Fellow)
Skilled in Mobile Advertising, Photography, Graphics, Logo Design, and Advertising. Strong arts and design professional with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) focused in Graphic Design from Montserrat College of Art.
I also run my own clothing brand and experiment with hand drawn typography. I try to stay as busy as I can so that I am always pushing my limits and learning new design techniques especially when using hand drawn and mixed media elements. Along with creative marketing design for corporate retail, I also enjoy apparel design, hand drawn typography and mixed media art.

Visual Designer / Producer
University of New Hampshire2019 – Present
Marketing (moving away from original department name: Communications & Public Affairs department) - Designing print and digital collateral for the University of NH's Durham campus. Projects include trifold brochures, post card invites, post card fliers, on campus signage, bus / shelter advertisements Digital ads for paid and organic usage, digital banners, social media content, animated gifs and stickers, icon design. Most responsibilities cater to many departments and partners across campus including the colleges, deans, admissions department, and other paid media works (billboards, interior entryway ads) Graduate School - Business School - Undergraduates - Alumni Events
Visual Experience Design
Mad*Pow2018 – 2019
I work closely with the senior visual designer and project manager to build visual examples for a web based application and digital product using existing brand standards provided by the client. (We also re-designed the SKIN of the program with the exception of following former brand standards) Responsibilities include: • Implement existing style guides and apply to layouts for web based application. • Communicate with senior designer and project manager on a daily basis to maintain an organized and consistent workflow. • Make edits and revisions to the creative based on client feedback while also helping maintain a tracker for project progress.
Graphic Designer for Creative Marketing
PUMA North America HQ Boston, MA2016 – 2018
In March 2016 I began working as a graphic design intern at Puma's North American HQ in Boston, Massachusetts. I have been working with the Creative Services and Marketing team putting together artwork for retail / In-store displays, company account websites, events, and social networking. After interning for 1 year, in March 2017 I switched to a contractor (40 hr / week). Work experience concluded in June 2018.
