• Calculated fabric consumption needed for all production and ordered required fabrics directly with fabric mills to ensure on time delivery of fabric to all factories.
• Set factory WIP by style for each production and monitored WIPs weekly to ensure production remained on schedule.
• Coordinated logistics for all shipments and reviewed all shipping docs to ensure problem free custom clearance. Provided specific routing for each shipment to expedite delivery.
• Traveled to factories in Asia and Europe several times each year for development and production review.
• Worked directly with fabric mills to develop specific fabrics suitable for uniform application addressing abrasion, crocking, fading, and overall durability required to achieve a 3-5 year garment life span.
• Worked with 3M to develop new proprietary DWR to resolve the ineffectiveness of C6 DWR.
• Developed a new softshell fabric and obtained re-classification from U.S. Customs reducing the duty rate from 28.2% to 7.1%.
• Developed special features to allow post-production embroidery without damaging the finished garment.
