I am a self-contracted fashion designer, graphic, technical, and surface designer for Women’s contemporary and Menswear. Experienced in wovens, knits, printmaking, textiles design, soft accessories, boardshorts, and Cut-n-Sew apparel.

My designs are about combining various styles and techniques to turn conceptual ideas into a living breathing entity. My style is playful with a slightly flirtatious, comfortable, and versatile aesthetic. Cultures, history, arts, music, architecture, and technologies inspired me.

Worked on a contract basis doing technical design, textile pattern repeat, graphic design, web contents management, photo retouching, video editing, managing an e-commerce site, and social media marketing. Worked as a contractor to help Men's Active Apparel team in design revisions, tech pack creation, BOM creation, and input styles into webPLM. Handled various product categories in cut and sew woven shirts, knits, fleece, and bottoms as well as socks in accessories

2018 – 2019

Rip Curl, is an Australian-born chain retailer of wetsuits & other boardwear, plus surfing products & accessories. I had the pleasure of landing a contract with the Menswear team at Rip Curl. performed design assistant and other duties as necessary but not limited: • Assist the designer in creating styles from concept to completion in whatever capacity is necessary. • Generate computer sketches and drapes final drawings with correct patterns, colors, graphics, and trims. • Create CAD artwork, recoloring, sizing, recreating, manipulating, and placing artwork on silhouettes of garments • Create SMU as per retail requests • Create tech packs for each season • Collaborated & worked closely with lead Designer, Creative Director, Graphic Designer, Merchandiser, and Product Development team members.

2016 – 2017

Sea Gypsies is a young contemporary clothing brand created by Lost International LLC. The brand creates collections seasonally, including clothing, swimwear and a full line of seasonal accessories. You can find us in small boutique stores, Tilly’s, and a small collection for Nordstrom. I worked with the Lead Fashion Designer on: • Line planning from initial concepts to pre-production. • Create tech packs including, but not limited to, fitting, revision comments, fabrics, and trims • Create SMU and changing the graphic design • Create repeat prints, and recoloring artwork. • Prepared seasonal photoshoots, edited photos for catalogs, and website. • Prepared for sale meeting, and trade show.

Lost International LLC also known as Lost Enterprises, is a men’s sportswear brand. We have an online store and you can also find us in stores such as Sun Diego, Surfside, and Tilly’s. Since it is a small company, I was hands-on and very involved throughout the entire process. I assisted the Creative Director; Lead Designer in: • Preparing seasonal collections from initial concepts to pre-production. • Creating tech packs, fitting, construction, and communicate with vendors. • Create SMU, design changes, and recoloring design. • Photo shoots, photo editing, and product mockups. • Creating seasonal catalogs and merchandise pages. • Handle and maintain day to day projects including filing, organizing, tagging, line preparation, copying & updating development packages, fabric books, color cards. • designing labels, hang tags, graphics, and accessories. • Work with a graphic designer to create accessories, stickers, flyers, and printable tees. • Manage lab dip, strike offs, comments and approvals. • Handle product development to ensure all samples are executed in the highest quality of fit, construction, and workmanship. • Maintain professional and timely communication with distributors and manufacturers.

My role was to collaborate with the graphics team, sample room, and patternmakers to create samples, cut and sew in-house, to be ready for trade shows, magic. The samples were also photographed where I then arranged and put in catalogs for buyers. • Create and revised CAD. • Take photos and create catalogs. • Maintain day to day projects including filing, organizing, tagging, line preparation, copying & updating development packages, fabric books, color cards. • Manage the flow of samples leaving and returning into the Design room. • Research trends, find samples and help with trend boards. • Maintain a product Block library for core fits in PLM and ensure product areas are maintained with the cross-functional team; gather information & update all reports.

Started working as Product Testing and Analysis then applied for Juniors Assistant Apparel Designer position in 2011. Thanks to this position, I can provide technical solutions, and made me aware of regulations when designing. • Quality control all incoming samples to ensure proper fit, quality, CPSIA requirements, and government regulations. • Create spec sheets, tech pack, and fit measurement. • Quality test garments and samples. • Manage lab dip, strike offs, comments, and approvals. • Solve construction and fit issues as they arise and give direction to production. • Maintain professional and timely communication with testing vendors. • Communicate with license accounts informing of testing results and getting approval to deliver ordered product.
