Exhibitor and Group Analyst · onPeak LLC
I create and manage event housing accommodations for VIP companies and top exhibitors at conventions and trade shows. I work with them through every step, accommodating their needs in an efficient, friendly and professional way. I act as a liaison between client and hotel using my exceptional and clear communication skills in order to reduce the workload for both parties. I create lasting relationships with clients as well as network while on-site at events to add to my clientele list. I study the numbers and trends of previous shows in order to assess my current capture rates and increase my show attendee percentages. I supervise and monitor the activity of the booking agents as well as distribute work, and be on hand to solve any client issues. I handle shows with as many as 16,000 room nights during the peak nights of the show.
Sep 2011 — May 2013
Wings Team Member · Red Bull Energy Drink
As a Wings Team Member, it was my job to promote and sample product all over the state of New Jersey, as well as inform customers and correct common misbeliefs. Every week, my team and I would submit "mission plans" which were schedules of events to go to on a certain day at certain times where we could reach the most people while having quality interactions. It was our job to find ideal sampling opportunities keeping in mind the clientele that Red Bull attracts. For example we would go to sporting events, college libraries during finals, nightlife scenes, fundraisers, commuting hotspots, etc. By the end of my time as a WTM, I was a senior Team Member so it was my job to train the freshmen coming into the job with the values and knowledge that I had learned from my time. We would load the mini-cooper with at least 300 cans per mission. If our mission plan was a dud, we had to think on our feet and find another way to sample our product. We would have monthly meetings to assess our sampling numbers and during my time, New Jersey increased samplings significantly.
Sep 2012 — Dec 2012
Editorial Intern · Rodale, Inc.
I maintained the prevention.com website appearance, proofread/edited articles and helped increase page visits with use of SEOs and social media knowledge. I researched story ideas and conducted interviews with medical/health professionals. I wrote articles for the website, and I assisted with social media efforts including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. I assisted my editors with any daily office tasks and helped with choosing my predecessor when my semester was finished.
