Mentored a team of Industrial Design Interns to brainstorm and design across TOMY product lines. Effectively communicated design concepts using hand sketching visuals during presentations to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborated and communicated with marketing and cost engineering to ensure assortment strategies and price point management items met all tooling and R&D budgets on four product lines. Worked with SEGA, DISNEY, JOHN DEERE, POKEMON. • Over 150 of my designs were manufactured and sold at retailers such as Target and Walmart that gained over $20 million in sales. • Expanded rapid prototyping in-house capabilities that lowered cost by 73%. • Implemented and managed a detailed evaluation process for paint color and finish, resulting in a 20% reduction in post-production rework.

Dimensional Innovations

2013 – 2014

Led an Industrial Design Intern and a Fabricator that developed new products for clients. Sole designer responsible for creating and articulating project vision through consumer research, concept sketches, User-centric design, and 3D Modeling with DFM. Adaptability was prevalent with constant changing project requirements that required problem-solving to meet deadlines. • Collaborated with dedicated design researchers to gather and analyze user data, leading to informed design decisions for the Shottracker device, used Solidworks to design and develop the Shottracker device, and monitored a small run of thermoplastic parts prepared for the NCAA Finals which resulted in the company to raise over $50 million in funding. • Devised a method to enhance brand awareness using client’s existing manufacturing processes that resulted in reduction of cost by 22%. • Designed the Bosch Charger holster with challenging parameters from initial concept to working prototypes on an accelerated schedule, delivered in 6 weeks and cut cost by 50%.

2010 – 2011

Responsible for designing and developing new outdoor equipment through storytelling, cross functional collaboration, concept development, and material and color selection to align product requirements and brand objectives. • Produced over 20 designs that were manufactured and sold at retailers such as Target and Walmart that achieved over $35 million in sales. • Streamlined brand identity by establishing the style guide for the Battery Lighting products that resulted a uniform product line. • Interviewed campers on ethnographic research trip that led to the development of stove/oven combo which resulted in over $10 million in sales for the RV market.

Industrial Design Engineer

Hawker Beechcraft

2008 – 2009

Created concept designs for private prop and jet aircraft, cockpits, and cabin interiors. As the sole Industrial Designer, generated designs of interior components for both production and full-size mock-up. • Generated designs of executive aircraft interior components for both production and full size mock-up. • Envisioned and developed the entire interior of the next generation Hawker 450XP through sketching and Alias modeling that was presented at NBAA in Orlando, FL that resulted $88 million in sales. • From conception to production of seats, divans, color & material selections, and paint schemes.
