Current Client(s): Bern Unlimited Develop and execute international sales and marketing strategies in ski/snowboard and bike industries through the management of 6 regional representatives. Key objectives are to grow existing business, drive consumer demand, maintain brand equity and develop new retail opportunities. Additional initiatives include expanding existing marketing strategy with new channels that focus on regional campaigns using integrated marketing components for in-line sales and new product launches. Developed new analytics and reporting that measure and prove ROI while aligning initiatives with National Sales Team.

Increased value of company through growth in sales, brand development and revenue diversification, all with a focus on long-term sustainable partnerships. First hand experience with major outdoor, ski and snowboard brand's marketing strategies that involved traditional, new and evolving media opportunities. Led company through two acquisitions and their integration into existing operations. Managed and directed sales team, as well as serviced in-house key accounts. Developed and managed New Business Development Strategy that diversified the company’s traditional two sources of revenue into a five-tiered program. Developed and managed Circulation Department including P&L responsibility and staff and vendor management. Negotiated printer contract terms annually, resulting in positive year round cash flow.

2003 – 2005

A focus on sales during first year of acquisition shifted to managing all sales, including advertising and circulation, operations, finance and production. Sales growth and brand development reestablished Backcountry as an emerging company and viable partner in ski and snowboard industry. Managed and directed sales team, as well as administered in-house key accounts. Oversaw magazine production and developed internal systems for magazine production. Orchestrated change in magazine printer, handled all aspects of circulation and marketing and managed all financial responsibilities of the company. Hired CPA and developed internal financial reporting programs.

Director / Captain

First Light Sea Adventures

1999 – 2003

Maintained and operated three traditionally built sailing vessels up to 47 feet throughout Cape Cod. Grew fleet from one vessel to three while also managing reservations for hourly, daily, multi-day and large group charters. Worked with local boatyard to schedule and manage seasonal servicing and repairs.

Professional Ski Patroller

Smugglers' Notch Resort

1997 – 2003

Handled multi-patient scenarios in harsh environments while working with fellow patrollers and mountain staff to ensure resort community safety. As either Mountain Captain or as a team member customer safety was priority and managed through daily and weekly trail and lift protocols while also supervising seasonal training. Provided support to Mountain Operations division and offered first aid to non-ski area guests.
