Technical designer/developer for sleeping bags, tents, and accessories. Managed styles across multiple categories, from tech-pack creation through sample development and production approvals. Worked closely with Tech Design Manager to manage sample tracking schedules, material information, and production specs for all current and future equipment product lines. Created full product specs for vendors, and maintained equipment specification library. Participated in team trips to test current/future gear and gather feedback for implementation. Worked closely with Senior industrial designer when choosing colors, trims, and fabrics for Spring 24 products. Managed cost BOM's to ensure products remained under target throughout development. Communicated with factories overseas to provide sample comments, cost-saving measures, timeline adjustments, and keep track of material MOQ's. Scaled graphic artwork for printing on fabric, as well as reviewing/approving strike-off's and lab dips to match color standards. Collaborated with sourcing and planning to work towards sustainability goals, as well as implementing emerging technologies and resources into product.
