Vermont Farm & Forest Viability Program Assistant

As the Program Assistant for VHCB’s Vermont Farm & Forest Viability Program, I am ingrained in the details of each of our program’s branches. I work closely with each team member to assist with data entry and organization, client communication, grant review, and communication with the legislature. In addition, I manage many aspects of our public outreach strategy and implementation. Time management, communication and strong prioritization skills are necessary to fulfill this role successfully.

Currently in charge of curating and scheduling all of the Instagram content and blog content (which has yet to be published) for Kinship Milk Tea. The brand voice and target demographic is a blast to work with.
Previously, at Junction Fiber Mill, was responsible for drafting all newsletter copy, and curating, writing and scheduling all social content that gets published on Instagram and Facebook. In my first 9 months of this role, the Instagram following grew 71% and the account’s average reach has increased 25%.
Farmer
Self-employed2017 – 2020
Take Stock Farm was a small scale regenerative agriculture operation in an area previously known for large scale dairy production. The business was established to create a truly sustainable vegetable and livestock production practice with a particular focus on activities that improve soil and forest health with the intention of increasing carbon sequestration. The farm served as an educational example for the region and a community event center.
Town Clerk
Town of Tunbridge, Vermont2019 – 2020
Initially brought hired as a part time assistant to the Selectboard which entailed writing minutes, assisting the road maintenance crew, managing agendas, communicating with the public and grant writing. After nine months I was appointed as Town Clerk, a position governed entirely by Vermont statute. Clerk duties include meticulously managing the Town’s physical vault of land records, administering all elections held in Tunbridge, administering marriage licenses and death certificates, and revising the many antiquated systems and processes while continuing to maintain the Selectboard Assistant role.

Graduated from Champlain College as the Outstanding Senior in the major, achieved Dean’s List several times. Assisted in founding the college's apiary and was employed in the admissions office from 2011 - 2015.
