CKC founder Jen Lorentzen has the guts to follow a vision, the instinct to know what the client wants, and the patience, loyalty and leadership that managing a team demands.

A love for design as it intersects with a love for the mountain has defined over a decade’s worth of work developing creative for the action- and outdoor-sports world at companies like JDK Design, DVS Shoe Company, and Nike.

Board Position. Helping maintain a professional presence for this non-profit sharing snowboarding experience with underserved youth in Portland.

Global Brand Design · Nike
worked in global brand design on the action sports team [previously on sportswear]. responsibilities included developing brand identity programs/visual centers, photoshoots, collateral, environments, retail, seasonal directives, product color and graphics. my team was required to be constantly up to speed on youth culture, trends, athletes, and consumer behavior.

Apparel and POP Designer (dual role) · DVS Shoe Company
included graphic and cut-and-sew design for the softgoods and accessories line. i worked with the vendors and handled sampling and line list management. on POP i worked to merchandise the brand by developing new ways of presenting ourselves in the retail environment. additionally i assisted the team on ads, vehicle graphics, product graphics, and other tasks as needed.
Jun 2000 — Mar 2003
clients included burton snowboards, nike hockey, atlantic records, merrell footwear, nike ndorfin, bauer hockey, international paper, sobe beverages [pepsi], stratton mountain, segway, stx lacrosse and field hockey, as well as others. responsibilities included logo and identity design, print collateral [ads/catalogs/brochures], product color, trade show booths, and vehicle graphics. digital production specialist [08.00-10.01] responsibilities included coordinating production schedules and overseeing quality control for digital materials produced.
