Hello, I'm Jackson Maness. I'm a 22-year-old Industrial Design student attending Wentworth Institute of Technology, graduating in August of this year. Originally from New Hampshire, I am pursuing a career in apparel & soft goods to connect my love for both the outdoors and fashion.

Design Intern
State Bags2023 – 2023
Generate sketches, CADs, and spec-sheets for Spring/Summer 2025 Collection, contributing creative ideas and concepts. • Engage in company-wide meetings to present design concepts and updates to adjacent departments, fostering clear communication and alignment across teams. • Uphold the established design language of the brand, ensuring consistency and coherence in all visual materials and product designs. • Managing the Research, Materials, and Trends (RM&T) archive, organizing and cataloging relevant resources for future reference and inspiration. • Providing support and insights during the product development stage to ensure the successful execution of design concepts into final products
Apparel & Soft Goods Intern
Human Systems Integration2023 – 2023
• Creating and maintaining tech packs and supporting documents (i.e tech assembly drawings, bill of materials, construction callouts) • Daily use of straight stitch and walking foot, along with learned intended uses of varied types of industrial sewing machines • Frequent communication with suppliers and vendors to check inventories, order necessary fabrics, trims, and materials. Contacted vendors to relay pattern edits, provide supporting documentation, and converse about the results of samples, etc. • Working with engineers to integrate electrical components, wires and 3D printed housings into garments while maintaining fit, function, and aesthetics reflecting the brand identity.

This insight revealed a significant gap in the market for clothing that not only exudes style but also ensures riders are unmistakably visible when on the road.
