Since graduating in 2018 with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication/Media Production, Hannah Childress has focused her skills on the outdoor industry where she is currently the video production fellow at Outside Magazine. Hannah has a passion for narrative and documentary filmmaking specific to the outdoors. In addition to video production, Hannah has a well-rounded portfolio of photography experience including action, photojournalism, event, studio product, and interiors. With her love of adventure, Hannah is always exploring creative new ways and techniques to showcase her work and further connect her audience with her passion for the outdoor world.

Responsible for aiding in the production of all in-house video content and supporting our video team to achieve overall channel goals. Key Responsibilities: Contributing to the weekly video story-idea meeting Assisting in shooting and editing videos Planning production logistics of on-location shoots Overseeing digital management and the physical organization of camera equipment Building videos for the website and YouTube platforms Preparing the on-site studio for shoots by setting up lighting, checking audio, and building cameras Helping with media management, such as backing up footage and ingesting and organizing new and old footage Managing transcription services and adding corrected transcripts to live videos

Collaborates and develops company and event branding through digital motion and still imagery and graphics. Communicates with Chief Officer and Marketing Manager on pre and postproduction goals for promotional and event projects. Collaborates and produces graphics with Marketing Manager for social media content for daily posts. Creates, organizes, and maintains digital asset database. Produces and edits 150+ images per promotional and event photoshoot within specified deadlines. Produces still and motion imagery for 8+ event and 10+ promotional shoots annually.

Event Staff/Assistant Merchandise Manager (Contract)

Provided merchandise and event operational assistance with 3 events during 2018. Assisted with organizing $20,000 of merchandise to be sold at each cycling event. Trained and managed 24-36 volunteers during events to operate Shopify POS, restocked merchandise and assisted costumers. Communicated with management to ensure organizational and profit goals were met.

Associate Photographer (Temp)

Communicated with Creative and Marketing departments to assist and produce 1000+ in-studio product images for print, digital catalogs, and e- commerce. Assisted and produced images for 9 lifestyle shoots and 1 event. Edited selected images to desired specifications and distributed to appropriate parties in required formats. Recruited and scheduled modeling talent through an in-house employee network in tandem with the project manager for photo shoots using email and Microsoft outlook.

Student Lab Assistant II/ Equipment Room Technician

Maintained and distributed video lab inventory daily and quarterly. Assisted students in Lab with editing software including Adobe Premiere and Lightroom. Transferred or duplicated student/departmental projects. Produced and published equipment tutorials on the University's social media pages. Carried out duties assigned by the Studio Coordinator (assisting with audio/visual equipment, computer support, etc.).
