"Pink Gecko" book

https://www.mottilaa.com/cópia-stu

In 2022, in partnership with VISTA, the book "Lagartixa Rosa and the beings that inhabit the mind of MOTTILAA" was released. The book, with a hardcover and 400 pages, has as its guiding thread 22 years (completed in 2022) of MOTTILAA's projects in the Brazilian and international skateboarding market. The release happened during STU Open Rio 2022, in Rio de Janeiro, an event that also featured the visual identity signed by the artist. In addition to the book, merchandising pieces were created such as: New Era cap, Rider flip-flops, t-shirts, sketchbook, stickers, etc. "In the year that MOTTILAA reaches the mark of 22 years of career and graphic projects for the skateboard market, exactly half his age, Pink Gecko makes a record of the passionate trajectory of this skater who, in addition to presenting his portfolio, narrates connections, tells stories, falls, contextualizes his creations and sets the scene of this (counter)culture that goes far beyond a sport. The multi-artist from Rio de Janeiro who managed to build a remarkable identity associated with fluidity, a sense of humor and fun makes this work a tribute to the resistance and maturity of the independent scene and it’s values, interspersed with testimonials from national and international names in music, art, design and, of course, skateboarding. Proving that at the same time skateboarding is local and universal."
