Erin

Erin is a highly versatile and passionate senior womenswear design professional, who since graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising of San Francisco in 2003 has worked for brands ranging from runway collections for small boutiques to price-conscious high volume markets.

Her work has graced the cover of Women's Wear Daily newspaper, been featured in Vogue, and displayed in the storefront windows of Bergdorf Goodman's in New York City. She has spent the last thirteen last years living in San Francisco, London, and New York City, and recently moved to Southern California.

Erin is an organized multi tasker with exceptional attention to detail who thrives in high pressure environments. She manages projects and collections from concept to completion, quickly adapting to change when necessary, to meet deadlines and deliver desired results, and is effective working either independently or collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

Erin is currently seeking new design opportunities where she can both add value and grow professionally and personally.

• Analyzed trends and shopped the market in stores, online, and developed trend predictions and color forecasts. Shopped local retailers including downtown Los Angeles, as well as abroad in Hong Kong and Shanghai. • Travelled to factories in China to source fabrics. Met with yarn mills and sweater factories to ensure efficient product development. • Communicated daily with factories in India for product development. • Developed mood, color story and concepts for each season with four collections per year, producing the salesman samples collection and approved all fabrics, fit and lab dips for production. • Developed and approved new fabrics and trims with our Chinese and Indian factories. • Oversaw all graphic design artwork for Rag Poets, developing new stripes, plaids, and prints for each season. • Elevated the Rag Poets brand by creating new labels and hangtags. • Collaborated with the tech designer to conduct fittings to ensure the best fit and execution of all garments. • Oversaw photoshoots to ensure garments were represented well, fit correctly, and followed on-brand concepts. • Successfully led the Rag Poets brand with increased sales by 33% and accounts by 66% from Spring 2018 - Spring 2020.

• Market research, design, and product development for brands: Chaiken, White, and Rivet 415. • Designed Chaiken brand for woven bottoms and jackets. Oversaw all development of dresses and tops. The Chaiken brand was re-launched in 2014 as a direct to consumer collection. • Designed White brand for knit tops and dresses. White is a women’s contemporary collection of cut and sew knits. • Designed Rivet 415 woven bottoms.
