Accomplished and creative Senior Design Leader with over 15 years of versatile experience in textile and apparel design, spanning both the fashion and home décor industries. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working extensively with renowned licensed intellectual properties (IPs) from major brands such as Marvel, Disney, Star Wars, NBC Universal, and Warner Bros. I have led creative teams, developed market-responsive collections, and secured high-profile partnerships that have significantly impacted business growth and market recognition.

Work Experience

Senior Designer

Zenith Rugs

2023 – Present

Design bespoke hospitality rugs and carpets for large interior design firms such as RD Jones, AJ Capital, Hirsch Bedner, and KTGY Simeone Deary. Brainstorm conceptual direction and strategy for seasonal collections and market presentations. Supervise three associate designers while managing multiple design projects simultaneously including setting deadlines, priorities, and communication with overseas mills. Partner with operations and sales to problem solve and execute rugs to meet required specification for projects. ► Created 6 seasonal collections of hand-tufted and flatweave rug collections based on trend research. ► Designed award-winning concept leading the creation of an immersive optical illusion booth for Zenith Rugs at BDNY (Boutique Design NY), positioning the company for design award recognition.

Senior Textile Designer

2021 – 2023

Designed licensed rugs for Marvel, Disney, Iris Apfel, Jonathan Adler, and Artestar partners. Led team of 4 textile designers to create cohesive rug collections by interpreting trend direction into rugs. Collaborated with cross-functional stakeholders and external licensors to deliver production ready rug collections. Managed onboarding and development of new designer hires and summer interns. ► Led the design of a successful casual and approachable style in the boho modern genre, a perennial home style that was purchased at higher avg order value (AOV) and was a model for other boho modern collections. ► Proactively proposed, pitched to senior management and led the development of a modern 12-piece nursery collection, aligning with shifting market trends towards adult-themed nursery decor

Apparel & Print Designer

Unique Vintage

2020 – 2021

Designed licensed prints for monthly apparel and swimwear collections for NBC Universal, Warner Bros, Sanrio, and Hasbro. Managed garment development from concept to production for all print, swim, and knitwear styles with overseas factories. Coordinated and unified the creative execution of products with Head of Design within the merchandize assortment strategy. ► Pitched and executed a successful partnership with the Peanuts brand, developing three holiday-themed with nostalgic designs which led to a sold-out collection across multiple sales channels, demonstrating market appeal. ► Leveraged the success of the Peanuts collaboration to secure an extended contract with Wildbrain, introducing the Strawberry Shortcake brand into the product lineup, expanding revenue potential for company.

Sold to: Direct to Customer (D2C), Wholesale, and own Retail Store.

Print & Textile Designer

Max Studio

2013 – 2020

Designed monthly print and textile collections for sportswear and dress categories for TJX Companies, Nordstrom Rack, Amazon, Macys, Neiman Marcus Last Call, and Burlington Coat Factory. Collaborated with marketing for print and digital advertising, styling of photoshoots, photo corrections, and graphic design layout. Communicated with overseas factories in Hong Kong, Vietnam, and India for all print/fabric development. ► Redesigned a print collection to align with Macy's customer preferences under tight deadlines, leading to the acceptance of a six-month contract with only minor adjustments. ► Led the presentation of the revamped collection to Macy's buyers, generating press interest and contributing to Max Studio’s $50M annual revenue ► Oversaw the daily management of printed fabric development with overseas factories in Hong Kong, Vietnam, and India.

Executed the entire design process into completion with the lead designer, encompassing trend research, color, and fabric direction for monthly collections of Junior Boho Young woman’s apparel label. Generated all technical packets for production fit/fabric approvals with Hong Kong and India vendors.

2007 – 2010

Researched seasonal design inspiration for the creative director as well as produced trend and product development boards for bridal and bridesmaid collections. Created Tech Packs to develop dresses with overseas mills. Regulated inventory, quality control and product shipment between three overseas factories to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
