In my own words

David

Are you looking for a motivated design leader who has proven creative problem solving and teamwork skills?

If so, please consider me as a strong candidate for a leadership role to meet your creative needs.

I bring creative thinking and project management to my work as a Product Designer. I offer a successful track record of providing innovative ideas, lead project teams through the design process and an understanding in user centered design. This experience has resulted in projects completed on-time, meeting financial constraints and successful commercialization. I have over 15 years of product development experience, has worked on projects for brands including: Halyard, Kimberly-Clark, Rubbermaid, Arm & Hammer, Cannondale, Alcatel, Sterilite, Baume & Mercier and Fossil. Category experience in medical device, technology, furniture, transportation, fashion and housewares provide a foundation for innovative ideas resulting in being awarded multiple design awards and patents.

My professional experiences, from a fast paced entrepreneur to process driven design in medical device development have allowed me to develop the ability to adjust to unique work environments. As an entrepreneur; I planned, recruited and managed three focus groups with a limited ($800) budget. As a result, the findings discovered a more appropriate market (B2B) where a small company could successfully compete and gain financial security. Previous roles have provided project experience in managing multiple R&D resources (global) including design, tooling, manufacturing and engineering functions. My role at Halyard Health has provided me training in a highly regulated product development process and establishing design metrics to determine safe solutions designed for patients.

I enjoy the challenge of leading project teams in developing creative solutions. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my skills and experience can help meet and exceed customer expectations.
