Freelance Assistant Design and Technical Development

- Assist Head of Design with creation of Tech Packs including: CAD sketches, BOMs, Specification Sheets, Grading. - Create artwork for trims such as care and content labels, hang tags and stationery. - Lead fittings: Comment on details, construction and fit. Fit leather samples on model and make adjustments to the specs and update the tech pack Ensure fit standards and consistency is maintained across the collection. - Measure and QC SMS samples as they arrive in LA. Communicate any issues to the factory. - Measure and track pre-production samples as they come into the office. Communicate any issues to the factory. - Label all fit samples with tickets to indicate date received, general comments applied in fitting, next steps (for example, another fit required, request PP sample, OK to production, etc.). - Own style master, creating style #s and maintaining accuracy of the style data base based on garment composition. - Refine and suggest areas of improvement for current process / procedures.

Hired on a freelance basis to assist Head of Design. Textile & print design. Prepare BOMs, tech & trim packs. Ensure proper size specifications, construction, fit & style details were followed. Ensure consistency in design elements by color matching between fabrics, Pantone chips, lab dips & trims. Photo-editing, color-correcting & retouching.

TLE is a luxury eco-conscious (apparel, accessories & apothecary) lifestyle brand. Responsibilities include: create tech packs, spec garments, review prototypes. Textile design. Source & negotiate materials, packaging, components, printing, trims & factories - domestically & internationally. Manage & facilitate all production operations from design to market launch - lead production team, implement production schedule, visit factories. Develop product costing. Ensure all wholesale orders are entered accurately - create invoices & place POs. Help drive sales through showroom exhibition. Met major delivery deadlines.
