I am an established apparel and swimwear designer with a strong work ethic and a personal drive for creating market relevant product.
Through completing my Fashion and Textile degree at the University of Technology Sydney, with Honors, I am proficient in Adobe programs as well as Microsoft Office programs. I also have an advanced knowledge of textile techniques and processes, yardage and placement design, as well as pattern making and garment construction thought my 5 years experience with O'Neill Australia.
I moved to California, USA in 2019 to spend time with my husband's family in Southern California.

USA Design Manager
Rusty USA2020 – Present
Reporting directly to the owner of the business weekly and working in a small management team to make immediate business decisions, I am responsible for a small design team who have been tasked with creating a full Northern Hemisphere specific range across women's apparel, men's apparel, swimwear and accessories. This is includes all new processes and workflows for the newly created USA Rusty HQ. I also manage a large design and development team in China, who work to develop product and artwork based on sales direction, in depth market research and northern hemisphere specific trend forecasting.

Currently reporting to the caretaker General Manager for Rusty USA in California, I am responsible for creating a Northern Hemisphere specific range across women's apparel, men's apparel, swimwear and accessories. I manage a large design and development team in China to develop product based on sales direction, in depth market research and northern hemisphere specific trend forecasting.
Womens Assistant Beach Designer
The Upside2018 – 2019
Working along side the Senior Designer and Creative Director, I was bought in as a maternity cover to redesign the newly launched Beach range from The UpSide Sport. I was instrumental in making procedural and organizational changes within this start up business, as well as using my knowledge of swimwear and apparel to make informed design decisions and present them directly to the Creative Director on a weekly basis.

O'Neill Australia2016 – 2018
Through my time excelling as a Design Assistant at O’Neill Australia I was given the title of Head Women’s Designer. The women’s design team consists of the Women’s Merchandiser and myself and together we are responsible for producing on trend and brand relevant apparel, innovative swimwear and a new range of accessories for our target market as well as a new competitive surf capsule. I have lead 3 full design seasons – from initial range conception, to yardage and placement prints, to garment construction and then to final sampling of the range during my time during a Design Assistant and Women’s Designer.

O'Neill Australia2015 – 2016
At O’Neill Australia, under the title of Design Assistant, I was the acting Women’s Designer, as the Senior Designer was on maternity leave. This position had me working closely with the Head Women’s Merchandiser not only on design aspects, but also production planning. I was responsible for the range direction, trend forecasting, print design, and garment and swim design for 3 seasons per year plus injection ranges and wetsuit capsules.

At the O’Neill Australia flagship store in Manly, I exceeded daily budgets, built customer relationships and took on some management responsibilities.
Design and Production Assistant
Camilla and Marc2014 – 2015
At Camilla and Marc, I aided the design and production teams with variety of roles from measuring samples, to designing prints, and updating CADs. During my time with Camilla and Marc, I was offered a job as an Assistant Designer at Abercrombie&Fitch, which I decided to take. However, my American working visa was declined due to unforeseen circumstances and this offer never came to fruition.
