Alixandria Ogawa graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in marketing. 

She has held multiple internships in different public relations settings including nonprofit, agency and corporate business at companies such as Vans, Luxury Brand Group and Baby2Baby. She was involved in strategic planning, creating press materials and social media content and marketing communication. She has gained experience in working in large teams, researching and communicating. 

Alixandria has worked in action sport and fashion public relations and brings experience in handling media samples and working with the team to select products for coverage and promoting key collections.

She also has interned at Audrey Magazine as an editorial assistant. She was involved in interviewing, pitching stories and ideas and writing blog posts.

Her experience at Vans in addition to her work at the firm and her Public Relations major have further developed her interest in pursuing a career in the action sports industry upon graduation.

·Increase Flexfit’s brand awareness through innovative marketing campaigns
·Collaborate on tradeshow set-ups, promotional items and hats, and overall implementation of tradeshow strategy
·Prepare marketing and advertising strategies, plans and objectives; plan and organize promotional presentations
·Work with external public relations teams and assist in creating PR campaigns for online and print opportunities
·Create and edit content for Flexfit’s website, email blasts, and other editorial projects

Digital Marketing Coordinator

Oversee product seeding initiatives for stories that target key fashion, lifestyle and action sports media and influencers.
Maintain product seeding inventory and research seeding kits that help tell the story of the product.
Maintain contact databases.
Help increase media coverage and social media interactions to support key product stories.
Align with the global PR team to distribute seeding campaigns to create the most impact across media around the world.

Public Relations Product Seeding Specialist

Assist with selecting products for coverage in print, online and television editorial pieces.
Assist with development of media materials including press releases, product pitching and media kit descriptions. 
Develop and write blurbs for Vans.com “news wall” and Vans Tumblr related to Vans athletes, events and products
Manage media samples within Vans office for easy distribution to media and entertainment outlets.
Research, track and clip editorial coverage across online, print and broadcast media for internal reporting.
Assist with media outreach to promote key collections each season.
